Sarah Webster is a business communicator specialising in PR, training and education for the conference and live events sector
She started her career as a technical copywriter for Philips in the Netherlands. She returned to the UK to become Deputy Editor of a holiday magazine before making the transition into travel PR.
After two years she progressed to manage both the PR and the broader sales and marketing activities of the Monaco Tourist and Convention Office, with the specific brief of promoting Monte Carlo’s conference and incentive travel facilities to the UK meetings market.
The Incentive Travel & Meetings Association (subsequently rebranded Eventia and EVCOM), invited her to manage its Secretariat, a role she undertook for ten years. In 2000 she left the ITMA to set up her own PR consultancy, Webster Wright Marketing Communications.
A regular magazine contributor, in her own and her clients’ names, Sarah has guest-lectured at several UK universities and is a seasoned international conference speaker. She is also a non-executive director of Grapevine HR – an independent human resources consultancy specialising in the events and travel sector.
